A Halloween outing where you get to sit in a gondola instead of run through a haunted house? Yes, please. The Gondola Company gives its Coronado Cays cruises a spooky-season twist with A Haunting in Venice, and it is such a cute way to do something different in October.
I shared this ride on my social media with Halloween music playing as we made our way through the canals. It is a calm, family-friendly experience, although I have to admit my mom was actually scared.

Spooky season on the water
The ride takes you through the Coronado Cays in a Venetian-style gondola, with phantom gondoliers and Halloween details along the way. You still get the private cruise, just with a much more seasonal soundtrack.
It works for a date night or a little outing with friends and family. Costumes are encouraged, so if you have an outfit you want to wear more than once this year, here is your excuse. They are optional if you would rather keep things casual.
Select wines, nonalcoholic drinks and chocolates are available to buy, too. Add a light layer for the evening and you have a very different kind of Halloween plan.

Booking your Halloween cruise
The 2026 Halloween rides are listed for October 28 through October 31. A standard private cruise lasts 50 minutes and accommodates two to six people, with rates starting at $139. Your exact price and available departure times will show in the booking calendar.
If your group is bigger, ask about the Haunting Caorlina Cruise. That option accommodates up to 13 people and starts at $550 including gratuity, with reservations made by phone.
You will find The Gondola Company at 503 Grand Caribe Causeway, Suite C, in Coronado. The cruise page has the booking options and cancellation terms. With only a few Halloween dates on the calendar, this is one to arrange before you build the rest of your evening around it.
