Arcade Monsters San Diego: Unlimited Games and a Little Friendly Competition

Did you know you can get unlimited arcade play in downtown San Diego for $25? Arcade Monsters is right across from Petco Park, with two floors of games, colorful blacklight murals and anime art. If you’re trying to plan a date or get your friends together around something other than dinner, this is a fun one to keep on your list.

The all-day setup is the big draw. You can move between games without paying for every round, which makes it easier to try something unfamiliar or ask for a rematch.

A little friendly competition

There’s a mix of retro classics, pinball, racing, fighting and rhythm games, with more than 200 games spread across the space. You don’t have to arrive with a favorite genre picked out. A group can start together, try different rooms and compare discoveries along the way.

The Sailor Moon screen and oversized Cup Noodle-themed game in these photos give you a little peek at the playful details. They’re also a reminder to look around between rounds. The setting is part of the appeal, especially if you love anime or nostalgic arcade cabinets.

What to know before you go

The official pricing page currently lists San Diego admission at $25 per person before tax for all-day unlimited play without re-entry. Re-entry costs an additional $10 and requires photo ID. That distinction matters if you want to step out for dinner and come back later. The arcade is cashless.

All ages are welcome. There’s also food, slushies, beer and wine available if your group wants a break, though those are separate from the game admission.

The San Diego location page lists hours of 10 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday. Check the current hours and admission details before heading over, especially around holidays.

Address: Arcade Monsters, 704 J St, San Diego, CA 92101.
