If spooky season makes you want to step into a scene from Practical Magic, put Nason’s Boos and Brews on your San Diego list. Nason’s Beer Hall at Pendry gets a Halloween makeover, turning the Gaslamp spot into a haunted witches tavern.
I shared this stop on TikTok, and my photos give you a little preview: a skeleton behind the drinks, twinkly lights overhead and a hallway that literally says “Get Wicked.” There is plenty to look at before you even get to the table.
Halloween drinks and a table full of food
The drinks bring the Halloween colors. There is a bright green one with a citrus twist, a purple one with a spider decoration and a deep red one alongside two little whipped-cream-topped shots. That lineup looks right at home with the skeleton in the background.
And there is food to go with it. The spread in my photos includes a big pretzel, wings, a burger, a wrap and fries. You can make this a food-and-drinks stop rather than only popping in for the decorations. Check the current menu before going since seasonal offerings can change.
The Halloween setup carries into the hallway too. A glowing “Get Wicked” sign sits above an illustrated cauldron, with cloud-like decorations covering the ceiling below it. If you like taking photos of all the little details, do not skip that part of the space.
Plan your Boos and Brews visit
The 2026 event listing confirms Boos and Brews throughout October. Pendry lists tarot and astrology readings, a Witching Hour happy hour, Halloween movie screenings and Monster Mash dance parties as part of the seasonal programming.
Check with Nason’s for exact dates and times, especially if you have your heart set on a reading or a movie. The official page also has the current menu and reservation options, which is helpful if you are planning around a particular time or bringing a group.
