Coffee in a real pumpkin? This is such a cute little fall coffee date in San Diego. S3 Coffee Bar’s seasonal pumpkin drinks and pumpkin-shaped bagels turn a simple coffee stop into something you can plan with your bestie.
The pumpkin is actually the cup, with the top cut away and the coffee poured inside. You can see the swirled foam in my photos, right down to the orange pumpkin rim. If you’re putting together a fall bucket list that doesn’t need a whole afternoon, this is an easy idea to save.
The pumpkin bagel deserves a spot on the tray
The bagel has an orange pumpkin shape and a little green stem, with a generous layer of cream cheese in the middle. Paired with the pumpkin coffee, it’s a very on-theme table. Grab a few photos before you split the bagel and settle in for a catch-up.
S3’s online menu also lists a pumpkin bagel box with pumpkin cream cheese. Stock can change, so don’t assume the seasonal bagels or pumpkin drinks will be available just because they’re in the video. I’d go earlier in the day and check with the café before making a special trip.

S3 has San Diego and Escondido locations, and their hours aren’t the same. The official location page lists San Diego’s main dining room from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Escondido is listed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
Check your chosen location’s latest hours and seasonal menu before you head out, especially if the pumpkin presentation is the reason for your visit. Availability may vary by day and location.
