Choose the music first, then make the night work around it. This November 2026 guide compares selected San Diego County concerts by sound, setting and age policy so you can find a plan that suits your group. Genre labels are broad listening shortcuts, not a promise of a particular setlist.
November 2026 listings checked October 27, 2026. All times are Pacific. These are selected shows, not every concert in the county. Doors and show times are listed separately where confirmed. Ticket links do not guarantee availability. Check the official page for final prices, age rules and any schedule changes before buying.
Soul, R&B and pop: outdoor piano, arena or North County club?
John Legend on November 6 is the piano-and-storytelling choice at Epstein Family Amphitheater in La Jolla. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. with gates at 6:30 p.m. Choose it for the open-air setting and the songs-and-stories format, then check your seating section and plan for the evening weather.
Teddy Swims on November 13 brings soul-pop to Pechanga Arena with Natasha Bedingfield and MarcLo. Show 7 p.m., doors 6 p.m. For a smaller 21+ room, Marc Broussard with Cristina Vane on November 15 plays Belly Up in Solana Beach at 8 p.m., doors 7 p.m. That last option is a North County trip, not a downtown stop.
Hip-hop: all ages early in the month or 21+ after Thanksgiving
Yuki Chiba with DRAM on November 3 is all ages at Music Box. Show 8 p.m., doors 7 p.m. DRAM’s mix of rap, soul and R&B gives this bill a different shape from a straight-ahead rap-only night.
The Grouch & Eligh featuring Amp Live on November 27 shares the Music Box bill with Brother Ali and Lyrics Born. This one starts at 9 p.m., doors 8 p.m. and is 21+. If anyone in your group is under 21, the age policy makes the decision before you even compare dates.
Electronic: make it a late dance-music night
Paul Oakenfold and The Crystal Method with Liquid Todd play Music Box on November 6 at 9 p.m., doors 8 p.m. The Mission Underground tour is a 21+ electronic option. It falls on the same night as John Legend’s outdoor piano show, so choose the atmosphere you actually want rather than trying to fit both into one evening.
Songwriters and alt-country: seated listening or a later Saturday
John Craigie with Lucy Clearwater on November 17 is specifically billed as a seated show at Music Box. Show 8 p.m., doors 7 p.m.; 21+. If a chair matters to your plan, this is the listing to start with.
Son Volt with Kelly Willis on November 21 brings an alt-country pairing to the same venue at 9 p.m., doors 8 p.m.; 21+. Do not assume the seated arrangement from John Craigie carries over to this separate show.
Independent pop and rock: check the age rule for each bill
INOHA with Buddha Trixie and Flight By Nothing on November 1 offers an all-ages Music Box option with a 7 p.m. show and 6 p.m. doors. Kate Nash on November 16 is a different songwriter-led choice with independent pop and punk roots: 8 p.m. show, 7 p.m. doors and 21+. The venue is the same, but the entry rules are not.
Latin and Spanish-language music: choose the style, not one broad label
For norteño and corridos, start with Los Tigres del Norte on November 14 at Pechanga Arena, 8 p.m., doors 7 p.m. For flamenco vocals and guitar, compare Las Migas on November 13 at Epstein Family Amphitheater, 7:30 p.m., gates 6:30 p.m. For Afro-Latin rhythms, QUITAPENAS on November 18 plays The Loft at UC San Diego, 8 p.m., doors 7 p.m. These are distinct musical directions, not interchangeable “Latin nights.”
The separate November Spanish-language and Latin concert guide goes deeper into those choices, including romantic ballads and Latin pop. Once you choose a show, recheck the official ticket page for age eligibility and current availability.
Rock, metal and electronic bills at Gallagher Square
Looking for Deftones or the electronic lineups at the ballpark? The November Petco Park guide covers those separately, along with Steve Lacy. For the other dates in one place, use the November concert calendar.
