A witch-themed evening at Estancia La Jolla
Estancia’s official event listing described a celebration inspired by folklore, plants and the harvest season, with seasonal food, cocktails and entertainment. The evening began at 6 p.m., with the gardens forming part of the setting.
The theme carried through the photos in so many little details. Green lighting washed over the walls, a witch was projected above the courtyard and guests wore pointed hats. Indoors, more witch hats hung beneath a chandelier alongside suspended candles. It gave the spaces a coordinated Halloween look without relying on the costumes alone.

The food displays leaned into the theme, too. A decorative skeleton stretched across a spread of sliced meats, fruit and flowers, with grapes tucked inside its rib cage. Nearby, bread and crackers sat beneath glowing candles decorated with ravens and a skull.
The contrast was especially striking in the photos: bright flowers and fruit against the white skeleton, then warm candlelight against the green lighting.
